Luke Newman is a Portfolio Manager of UK equities at Janus Henderson Investors, a position he has held since he joined Henderson in 2011 as part of the Gartmore acquisition. From 2009 to 2011, Luke worked at Gartmore as co-manager on a number of funds.
Nick Acquavito joined Bardin Hill in 2008 and is a Principal in the Client Partner Group at Bardin Hill. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Acquavito was an Investor Service Specialist for HSBC Bank. Mr. Acquavito received a B.A. from the University of Connecticut.
Gian Maria Magrini joined Bardin Hill in 2019 and is a Portfolio Manager for Bardin Hill's merger arbitrage strategy. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Magrini was a Co-Portfolio Manager at Gabelli Asset Management, where he worked for over eight years. During his time at Gabelli, Mr. Magrini was a Portfolio Manager for the firm's merger arbitrage mutual fund business and worked alongside Mario Gabelli assisting in the management of the arbitrage allocation for the firm's separately managed account business. Mr. Magrini received an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2020, a BS in Finance from Fordham University in 2011, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Andrew Lister is Head of abrdn's Closed End Fund Strategies Team. He has over 20 years' investment experience. In that time, he has been involved in all aspects of investment analysis, selection and portfolio management in a range of markets and asset classes, predominantly through listed investment companies and closed end funds.
George Szemere is Head of Alternatives Sales at Franklin Templeton. He is responsible for generating and retaining assets within Franklin Templeton's alternatives product suite, working closely with the FT Alternatives leadership team to develop a strategic plan focusing on sales generation, new product ideas and alternative solutions to support our institutional and retail clients.
